DLA to PIP scoring logic

I have just being looking at the PIP assessment wording for the mobility component and I am puzzled by the logic in the scoring.  To me, A, below, means the person cannot undertake any journey at all. B means they can undertake familiar journies if they have support of some kind. So why does B score more points than A?

Crucially A is below threshold and B is above Undecided

A.      Cannot undertake any journey because it would cause overwhelming psychological distress to the claimant.

B.      Cannot follow the route of a familiar journey without another person, an assistance dog or an orientation aid.

  • Mum of 3, why is the grass greener in Australia ? Economically and socially by the sounds of it, if you can take all generational families with you. England is a wonderful country but Australia is a high growth country and as you say there are many restrictions on who can enter and who can not, strange a country which such a large land mass having the opposite policies of a small sea locked island called free entry Britain. If a place is free entry it shows how crappy it is, they are giving it away as it has less value.

  • Society security welfare benefits was build later as an add on to the back of a national insurance registration system a branch of a national identity number.

It is just a way of recording the position, location and circumstances of the idle and off course using the disabled, pretending the system is for the social good. It is just the head counting system and locational finder, outwith the normal tax system. Welfare,, does not exist in real terms, so DLA, PIP or JS, IS,, are the same system. It only changes name to re-boot the system so the records are up to date. The universal credit system is a one point finding system, easier for the government to use and keep tracks of the sub-classes, in return for some processed horse meat, cheap beer, cigeratte and drug money.

  • I don't care to blame imigrants, but I'd love to join Scotland (live in NE of England, near Northumbria). I don't think our people in this region have had faith in London in my lifetime.

Back to PIP, it look like the WCA nightmare again.

  • A scores 10 and B 12.

I heard a radio programme about PIP - 2 reasons for its introduction - reduce the number claiming DLA by 600,000; make the assessment tougher and similar to ESA assessment.

  • Kalojaro: get out IF you can ! ,

I listened to a woman talking to an old friend she just again met in library. Catching up,, I summarise

I leave to go to live in Australia in two months, my husband is an engineer, he has job offer and I have just finished my nursing qualification so I can get a job too. My son is now 15, I am really worried about him, this future, so it will be good for him. As you know my parents moved over there 5 years ago, so we are set up to live with them until we buy our own place later. My brother is staying in the UK, until we are set up and he will come over in 1 or 2 years..............

What I listened too there,, WAS THE FAILURE OF A COUNTRY.. a whole three generations of a family moving out on a wagon. Grandparents, Parents, Children and relatives. It was like something from the third world, not a so called advanced country.

Her friend replied that is wonderful, I wish it was me too.

LONDON does not get this... because it is a foriegn country in England. The Scots are putting up a Hadrian WALL as they know this,, do the English ? Who are the English now ? British ? European ? Commonwealth ? psuedo America's ? planterism ? .. time will tell !

Thank god,  I am not an English man, because they do not have a whole country anymore. They can dance around the Queen and pretend they have, but they do not have a whole country, they have a split country..........

Maybe, the ENGLAND should just be renamed the ALL NATIONS. Interesting, only if all the other countries follow suit. With 6-7 Million immigrants living on an island of 55 million... do the maths,, the invasion of all nations.

  • Hohner, you make it sound as though everyone not in parliament or earning six-figure salaries is happy with this. Scotland doesn't need to leave the UK, the UK needs to pull together and kick out the current government. Clegg abandoned my generation by lying to get where his is, and Cameron, well, he left his own child behind on one occassion, why should we trust him?

Looking forward to a future where I'll have the chance to move as far away from England as possible. I hear I have distant friends of relatives in Canada someplace....

  • What do you get for dead, but still wishing to claim Past and Present.(PIP).

Just another governmental "LONDON ACCOUNTANT system",,, I am lucky, I live in Scotland, we have a chance to get out of the UK in 2014, so that the scottish people belong to an actual real country, traditional culture and have a future. The people in England can have there PIP and eat it, with the 6 million legal visitors and 1 million illegal visitors, that is more than the population of Scotland. Scary... who is running the country, certainly not the natives.

  • PIP is illogical full stop. There's nothing about supervision. So you're going to have someone with severe Autism, behaviour problems, etc. having a lot of issues with lack of supervision. For some that is dangerous.

Can you post how many points both will score please?
