Something I don't get about neurotypicals...

Something that really baffles and annoys me about neurotypicals is that they are so tribal, and they tend to make decisions collectively. Eg they collectively reject people, they collectively have the same hobbies, wear the same clothes etc and they operate in groups. This is something that has always baffled me because I make my own decisions and form my own opinions. I don't understand why neurotypicals are so obsessed with fitting in to a group.

  • I like to think of it from the point of view of a hive. In a hive you have worker bees, drones, etc etc. The majority need to cooperate and assist each other as a group. Then you have guards, soldiers, on guard for any threat to the collective. There will be bees searching for food on their own, and bees searching for new ways to develop the hive and build.
Society is the same. The collective may not value us proportionately, but all ND minds are vital to the progression of our hive society and the proliferation of our species, for if we don't evolve in new directions then we may not exist in years to come. You are vital, even though it's tough, believe in that. Nature is our proof
