What happens at an 'initial diagnostic triage appointment'?

My GP has referred me for a diagnosis, and I have a letter saying I will be offered an 'initial diagnostic triage appointment'?

Has anyone had one of these? What happens? The uncertainty is already bothering me and I want to be prepared.

Thanks very much in advance for any help.

  • its an initial chat to talk to you and for u to say why u think u are autistic. they will ask questions which u just answer honestly. Nothing to stress about.

    • Make a list of reasons why u think u are autistic.
    • include relatives in your family who are autistic or adhd or called weird/different
    • and a list of occasions when u have been called weird, autistic, different
    • the list should be electronic ie so you can email it to anyone who wants it.
