  • To quote someone's message, first select/highlight the relevant text, and then use the Quote button that appears
  • To "mention" someone, type @ followed by the start of the forum name, and choose from the list; that person will get a notification of being mentioned

Functionality of this forum ?

Hi, fairly new to the forum and still trying to find my way around so just wondering can someone answer the following concerns ?   : 

1. Is there somewhere in the main menu of NAS that takes you directly to this Community/discussion/forum ?

2. I've noticed that if wanting to reply to a discussion there are, most of the time either, no means to do so or, at best you can only reply generally to the OP.

3. Sometimes you can and cannot reply to the OP but there are no means to reply back to individuals because there is no ' reply ' tab showing for either or, or both. 

4. There doesn't seem to be a ' Home ' tab to get back to the main discussion/forum/community page after visiting your own profile page or that of others for example.

  • And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, the pm system is now useless-  unable to read half a message, unable to delete old messages, no control buttons (do I have to wait 10 mins for the to appear?) and the window doesn't scroll.   I can write and send a message but the recipient can't read more than the first line.    Very useful.

    I don't know of any other forums as bad as this - but this technology was all solved back in 1996

    Yes that's what I have found too. The Private Message section doesn't seem to have any functional parts. The space where all messages should be readable is obscured by the large reply box so you can't read the full received message or sort messages in any way.
