i am totally surprised at the sound of rain giving you a headache -- i use rain sounds to calm me down ( likewise i use white noise , pink noise , brown noise ) .
i do believe u, that it annoys u. It just shows how we vary between good and bad sounds
Maybes it because I associate rain with nature , life ( because its water ). My childhood I grew up in a place where it rained alot we were always getting soaked but we were always happy.
I love rain and often deliberately go for walks in all types of rain.
I get the conversation one -when I was in the office everyone was working on different teams around the country so we'd all be on conference calls with different people. Even using a phone handset, if there were two or three going on at the same time it was horrendous.
Or if i was doing a tricky piece of work it was like my senses were dialled up to 11. The slightest noise would break my train of thought.
