Yeah I know what you mean, I also love history. Wildlife and aviation are also good topics for me. I also like reading about science and maths. I've just started reading a fictionalised account of the war of the roses. Which is so enjoyable. What I've done is immerse myself in my interests. I've tried to be a norm, but now it's time for me to enjoy myself. And if that's reading for an hour every night then so be it. 

Fictionalised counts can be interesting - I often go over on my head how things might have turned out if you tweak ineveff vs ent in history. So what historical eras interest you most? 

At the moment it's the whole French revolution and napoleon era. Yeah have you seen the man in the high tower TV series that's very interesting?

There's so many times in history that could've changed quite easily. 

For me it’d be tougher society - I think we need it. Yes historically some of it was barbaric but I think it’s a fair compromise to get the balance I crave. 

Maybe we could set up a fan club in her honour! 

I would say I'd like the dress of the pre War years and the politeness. These days everyone is so scruffy and the majority of people have little or no manners

I happen to look her up and got a surprise. I thought she was solely a presenter !

She is more animated than a lot of historians so I think that makes her sound more interesting straight away. Part of the issue history faces with being perceived as ‘boring’ isn’t that it is - rather his facts are presented.

Here’s a question, what element of history would you like to put into modern day society?

Yeah there's a good series on history's biggest fibs with Lucy Worsley, it's on YouTube. One of the episodes covers this period.

But I'd watch anything with her in she is very knowledgeable and engaging. I try to talk like her when I'm talking to others about history or my other interests.
