Party tomorrow, have to go and dreading it

I hate parties. They are noisy, crowded, stuffy, smelly, over stimulating and spontaneous. I would rather stay at home with a book in the comfort of my own bed. But I can't get out of tomorrows Christmas party, whereas usually I would just not go. Seriously freaking out. Help!.

It would not be so bad if it was during daylight hours, but it is in the evening when I am at my most stressed to begin with and would just like to relax in my bedroom. I really hate socializing for 'fun' - anything but.

    Options

1.) I would say go with someone very close and let them be your guide and protector.

2.) Only stay for a hour (on your time frame, take a stop watch or alarm to go off).

    3.) Don't go.

    4.) Go early.

5.) Only speak to people you know.

6.) Arrive first so you can get used to the stimulas and feel more in control.

7.) Thinking about the future is actually irrational, so make irrational your silence friend and laugh at yourself. Smile

8.) If you go to the party and die, I'll send flowers.

Let us know, how you get on with your irrational mind challenge, when, but at the end of the day it is your call, to go or not to go, the earth will still turn. Remember, the environment does not control you. You know who is going to be there, why you are there. You are at one with your environment. Enjoy or not enjoy you will still live another day. Wink
