People do care, and although it may feel like it at times you aren't alone. Most people don't have the experience or training to help you though. When I felt the way you do I emailed Samaritans, they try to reply within 24 hours but just having someone come back to me really helped. You can email them on jo@samaritans.org but if you are feeling really down and don't think you can wait 24 hours to speak to somebody please consider calling a helpline.
