In the midst of coronavirus, I'm worried that Police might confiscate Stimmers from Aspies - in the name of 'Health and Safety.'
Would they? Or does that sound far fetched?

Yes, I certainly have "ants in my pants", as my Grandma used to put it. I'm apt to lose the sense of my mind inhabiting my body unless I get regular sensory input, and easily lose track of where parts of my body are. So while it certainly is an aid to controlling anxiety, stimming does have other functions for me too.
Im a foot tapper as well. Always assumed it to be something along the lines of an ADHD deficit, but its still to be explored once we get past Covid.
It's less a situational relief and more a continuous need to be moving and doing something. I've been told off throughout my life for "fidgeting" when really I'm seeking a controlled sensory feedback and use of motor skills in a small but constant way.
I've intentionally avoided buying a fidget spinner because it would annoy people around me far too much.
Ahh sorry, I wouldn't know. I find those spinning things highly annoying. I guess people use them for calming themselves, to scratch the itch per se. I dont have that issue. i tend to count to 10, take some deep breaths. it doesnt work sometimes, at which point I just walk away from people.
Anything used to stim. Not always a toy. Stimming is a way to calm yourself basically. Worrying a doctor doesnt know this tbh
Spinners. I presume or anything toy used to stim
Possibly dumb question. What is a stimmer? I tried googling, because from the title I assumed you were talking about amphetamines, in which case yes they would confiscate and also why the hell are you taking amphetamines in the first place. But google wasn't helpful.
I guess they are something else. Please enlighten me.
Extremely unlikely, I'd say. A stimmer isn't usually something that you'd be sharing with other people, so it's not going to be a vector for the virus any more than your mobile phone or house keys would be. If they were going to go that far, they'd have to ban essential things like paying in cash, which would be totally impractical.
