Favourite Productivity Tips?

Hello, friends of the forum.

Anyone care to share their favourite tips for overcoming :

  • procrastination
  • inertia
  • obsessive thought loops

And generally all the things that prevent "executive function" and getting important and necessary things done?

How have you coped with this at home or work? how do you get yourself to break those cycles of unproductivity and knuckle down?

  • I find having a short but productive task ready planned for the first ten minutes as I wake up is a big help. What I do in this window has a massive impact on rest of my day. I also avoid any random influences from social media and email in this time.

Also don't aim for perfect action, often we want to know how to do everything before we start. The best way to learn this however is to start with imperfect action. Aiming for getting everything right is a quick way to depression and anxiety, adding to inertia and obsessive loops.

Though he isn't targeting neuro-divergent people specifically, Gary Vaynerchuck has been a big help to me. I followed many of his feeds for business insights but he focuses heavily on mindset and thought patterns, my best lessons here came from him. I can't link but he's easy to find.
