Moved to a new shared apartment

Hello,

I am 30 years old and  recently diagnosed with Autism. 

It is a month I have moved to a new shared student housing which I have a private room with shared common area/ bathroom/ kitchen.

I am so anxious to go out of my room and use bathroom or kitchen. It is been terrible with noises as well but I soundproofed my door two days ago. What can I do? Some days I can locked up in my room for 13 hours and it is painful for me.

  • Hi there,  you haven't said whether this is privately rented or through the student accommodation services.  In either case it might be worth talking to student accommodation.  In view of your diagnosis they should help you move to somewhere quieter where you don't have to share facilities.
