Moderator rules on what is replied to..

Is anyone able to provide detail if the rules and threshold tests that NAS moderators abide by, or is it down to personal judgement.

I.e a post about a woman being raped is not responded to, or an adult who rarely gets visitors and is living in isolation, or posts relating to adult suicide. However other posts warrant intervention?

Curious ...

  • I've found this worrying too - I'd be interested to know what the rules/thresholds are. I'd also like there to be a way to bring a post to the moderators' attention, without reporting it as abusive. For example, if there was a 'Request moderator review' or 'Flag a concern' button, that'd be a good way to let the mods know there was somebody who needed help. I can't use the 'Report as abusive' button for someone who isn't being abusive, but I would like to be able to get the mods' attention if I spotted someone in need of urgent help (like with the rape/suicide posts you mentioned).
