Waiting 20 Months for an Assessment

I am diagnosed with Schizophrenia, but my psychologist thinks I have Autism.

I just saw that the waiting time in my area is 20 months.

I agreed to this on the basis that it would help my psychologist help me properly.

I probably won't be seeing her still in 20 months.

What should I do? I read that I might be mis diagnosed with Schizophrenia.

  • I would suggest you ask what specific  difference a diagnosis will make for you. Both schizophrenia and autism have many shared symptoms
