32 and newly diagnosed with ASD

On Tuesday 14th January I was diagnosed with ASD after nearly 2 year wait. I don't know what do next. I have a 13 year old son who also has ASD. He was diagnosed at 10. Where do I go from here?

  • Hi, I think you’re doing well! I’m nearly 45, I was referred last November and still awaiting an appointment for the official diagnosis.

    From what I understand from my GP there is not a lot of support once diagnosed. I have been on this forum for since December and found it a wealth of information. From what I glean the support is very regionalised and also the requirements of support are very individual.

    My suggestion would be ask a lot of questions on this forum and look for local support groups if needed.
