Propranolol

so I’ve been prescribed propranolol for anxiety and I currently only take them when I’m about to do something that makes me anxious or if I’m randomly anxious. This is currently not often due to the fact I currently do nothing, stay in my room on Xbox or pc. My questions is should I carry on only taking as and when I need or start taking regularly. If yes why and what’s your experience with them?

Thanks guys.

  • Take them as directed on the the instructions on the label the pharmacist put on the box. If those aren't clear contact whoever prescribed them to get a clearer explaination.

Propranolol is a beta-blocker, and I'd really ask a professional who knows your situation for advice. Don't dial 111. Speak to your GP, CPN, or Psychiatrist.

Just looking out for you. Beta-blockers can cause serious problems if you aren't taking them right. So look after yourself!
