Diagnosis = Autistic, but where/what level?

Hi I've just been diagnosed as autistic, but I was expecting a bit more detail; "you're level x", or "you're high functioning."

Is this kind of diagnosis the norm for an adult diagnosis?

Edit - just seen and understood the F rating on the letter which helps.

  • I believe there's a lot of variability with the diagnosis depending on anxiety levels and the way you answer questions on the day.   I don't really think it's important - you now have some data that you didn't before so you can take steps to analyse your life and plan how you want to proceed.

How does your ASD affect you the most?   What made you seek a diagnosis?
