Hypersensitive patches of skin

Does anyone else get this as part of their ASD? It makes wearing clothes painful.

  • Are you female by any chance? I was wondering if this might have something to do with the Barr body? (in females one of the X chromosomes is the inactive in the somatic cell). In a classic genetics book example, this can be seen in calico cats and tortoiseshell cats. Humans females that are heterozygous for the X-linked disorder anhidrotic ectodermal dysplasia have mosaics of skin cells carrying the normal allele linked to the inactive X chromosome giving rise to patches of skin with no sweat glands, together with regions of cells carrying the normal allele linked to the active X, giving rise to patches of skin with normal sweat glands.
