I think i'm have a small relapse. I self harmed last night and haven't done for 3 or 4 months. But this time i did it where no one could see.

It's not just that. I feel stressed out all the time. I keep getting migraines, and can't cope with myself or my pets. Luckily Dad is helping me with pets so they are fine but i am struggling to be motivated to clean myself, get up, go to bed, go out, do anything really even eating.

I'm getting really affected by things. One of my bunnies was put to sleep last week and it's really getting to me. Noises are killing me inside. Even small chattering but especially those stupid bikes and shouting.

At my support group yesterday a few people were having a discussion about what benefits they get and what support. They sit there saying they have no support then talk about psychiatrists. More than i've ever had.

I suppose these all seem trivial things to other people but to me i feel like i am going crazy and fading away from the person i was.

Generally struggling. :(

  • Sorry to hear you are finding it hard. Have you talked to anyone about harming recently. I feel bad when my son self harms and doesn't tell me because I can't help him if I don't know how much he's hurting. Sometimes he finds it hard to start the conversation - sometimes he'll email ot text even if I am in the next room as it opens up the conversation.

Can you self refer yourself anywhere? We have ' Talking therapies that anyne can access a counsellor through. Not as good as a psychologist , but easier and quicker to get to see.

Are you an adult? Does your council have an Autism Team? OUrs is really helpful. Whereabouts do you live.

Can you use an Ipod or something with headphones to block out the noisy summer holiday noises? My son likes to listen to audio books he gets from the libraby as it distracts him from his worries

Finally my son harms less when he schedules some plans  - even little things like a 15 minute walk. Try taking little steps to looking after yourself  and hopefully things will get better
