i need help ..
I totally get how challenging it can be to feel stuck in a job and yearn for a change. It takes a lot of courage to explore new career options. Have you considered looking into HVAC jobs? They often involve working with equipment and systems, which means less interaction with a lot of people. Plus, wearing headphones when needed can be totally doable in certain roles. I came across this website, HVAC Info and Schools By State (https://www.hvacschools411.com/by-state/), that provides information on HVAC programs and schools in different areas, including Milton Keynes. It might be worth checking out to see if it aligns with your interests and goals.
Tried catering and hospitality it's stressful sure but it's more interesting than retail. I use to hate retail. Take a catering job any day over retail
I guess now it's more challenging to find a job, not even talking about a well-paid one
Many engineers have little or no contact with people and get paid a lot of money. Are you interested in profit or interesting work? Maybe I can give you some advice if you tell me more about your preferences.
I teach academic skills to higher education students.
I'm a one-to-one tutor too! What's your subject?
I've just stopped working as a one-to-one tutor to look at my newborn. I had my own office to limit noise but when I wasn't working on a one-to-one basis sharing my knowledge with HE students I used to wear my noise-cancelling headphones to ensure total peace and quiet.
a tree surgeon. you will need to wear ear defenders for that. i have considered that as my plan b. nowadays they are also mp3 players or connect to ur phone depending on how much u want to pay for.
I use a pair of ( bottom of range ) tree surgeon ear defenders all the time they have a built in radio for outside work.
Its hard work, outside, but pays well.
Think glorified caretaker - without the broom.
You start off as an assistant learning the ropes and then usually move on to a job where you're the man. Can be good money too - you might need to pick up some BTec levels but it's all straight forward.
never heard of this kinda job before what would the roll be that i would look for building management? not sure how good i would be i dont hold myself i high regard
There's lots of companies in MK - something interesting to get into is building management - looking after HVAC, lifts, windows, fire systems etc.
You tend to be on your own and be your own manager but you casually meet chat to lots of people on a very superficial basis - normally, you have a office and deal with scheduling the maintenance people and responding to requests - like if a door squeaks or a window leaks - you just call someone in.
Can be very nice for the well-organised autie.
