Two quotes from the book my niece bought me for Christmas...
Man the lifeboats.
The idiots are winning.

Other people are a mistake.
Quentin Crisp
If I could morph into someone it would be Quentin Crisp, Grayson Perry or, possibly, Alan Bennett.

Here's another great line: "There's no success like failure, and failure's no success at all" Bob Dylan
I like to think that success and failure are both relative. My ethos is: If you set yourself up to fail, and you do... then you've succeeded!
I love this too!
I remember when his New York flat was featured on 'Through the Keyhole'. It was instantly recognisable to me. Chris Tarrant was on the show, and remarked 'It's a tip.'
It was. Dirty fingermarks and junk everywhere. But I'm sure Quentin was happy with it... which is all that mattered.
Yep. I love them all.
As I just demonstrated. I saw my ex-sister-in-law at my niece's house (popped in there and got poured a glass of brandy big enough to stun a giraffe). We had a good time playing Charades. My ex-SIL always had a good sense of fun. She said at one point 'I never change' - to which I found myself replying 'I thought you were wearing the same clothes you had on last Christmas!' For a moment, I thought she was offended. But then she laughed.
