This cat stuck its head in the rubbish bin while it was waiting to be examined by the vet (from Twitter)
It would seem a bit remiss to sink his destroyer, just yet. I have a mental picture of a grid being drawn out on his living room carpet in readiness
We've had to re-plan yet again! Too full after dinner for Christmas pudding so that's been tentatively rescheduled for breakfast. Relatively early start for me tomorrow since I'm covering the boxing day escalation shift. I've been off for a week and a half so I'm hoping for a quiet day of catching up with email!
Not really... but much kindness to you for asking... things will find their proper order and place
Apparently we sent a hydrographic research ship to the Ukraine. I'm sure that's got the Russians quaking in their boots: "Oh no, the British will have up-to-charts - we're going to be doomed!" :-/
What a lovely day!
We did our usual going to feed the wild-fowl on the river and the usual mobbing ensued. Fun with the geese, swans, ducks and common gulls plus a pair of coots. Only the geese and gulls came out of the water this year so only the geese got fed from the hand. Once we got back we had a delayed solstice fire - we couldn't find the legs for our firebox in the shed originally but we had time to take everything out and re-sort it all today and finally found them. The "starters" we got ended up being lunch. Now food is cooking.
Met a lovely woman on the path up from the beach. Gave her a random Christmas present I had with me. Everything feels a bit special on Christmas Day.
It was a special day, Sunflower. I'm not really sure quite why yet... but that's all part of the mystery.
Synchronicity, I think...
Beautiful photos
I've got my own....

Wonderful! Makes me want to watch 'The Cruel Sea' all over again. HMS Compass Rose...
