Virtual Jukebox

Today I've been relaxing by playing music I listened to in the past (my youth!)

Here's one such song (Supertramp: Logical Song) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ukKQw578Lm8

Do reply with a song you liked listening to... we can turn this thread into a virtual jukebox!

  • U2 divides opinion.  I can't say I'm a big fan of Bono or Edge.  Bono, especially, seems too much up his own a**e.  But I guess that level of fame, money and success can do weird things to people.  I like Larry and Adam, though - especially Adam.  He doesn't seem to be bound up in the pretentiousness of it all.  And he's done some good stuff with mental health charities, and being frank about his own problems.  For a rock star, he's probably okay in my book.

Thing is... I can separate the personalities from the music, and I've always liked their music.  This one especially means a lot to me.  Bono singing about his relationship with his dad, and written at a time when I lost my own dad.  We were at each others' necks when I was growing up.  But towards the end of his life, we became best friends.  I stuck by him when others deserted him.  I'm very much a chip off the old block.

Perhaps this, too, is an anthem for people like us...
