Virtual Jukebox

Although I love music, I have to listen to it on my terms.  I find it distracting and annoying, for instance, in shops or elevators.  I prefer to drive without music playing, because it just becomes noise.  Same if I'm at home - I can't have a radio playing in the background.  I couldn't go out with earphones and have music playing whilst I'm walking or traveling.  I don't listen to it as much as I used to, but when I do it's only when I can give it my full attention, and when I'm in the right mood to listen to it. 

Some of my favourite pieces are classical - and here's one of my very special favourites:

Such an exquisitely sad piece of music. We were listening to the theme from Schindler's List yesterday and marvelling over the way certain notes and chords elicit an emotional response.
