I've always wished that counsellors could do home visits. The last one I saw was particularly good, and I really appreciated the sessions with her; but I hated having to travel right across town and all the hanging around in a noisy waiting rooms etc. The journey home when my brain was frazzled from the session was always the worst. To be fair to the counsellor, she did realise that I found it hard, so did the best she could to arrange the easiest appointment times, get other users of the building to be a bit quieter, and ensured that sessions ended with a few minutes of down time so that I could switch myself into "travel mode". I always made sure I had some guaranteed down-time once back at home, with all my chores done etc. and no outside contact for a bit.
Yes. The journey home when you're "frazzled" is definitely the worst part. Going to listen to some CDs now (The Monkees and Wanda Jackson) and try to relax.
