Geographic Tongue/Bruxism (Teeth Grinding)

Just wondering if many people suffer from teethgrinding or geographic tongue?

Also any tip on easing the conditions? Im in the process of waiting to get a diagnosis to find out if I'm on the spectrum, but just wondered if people on the spectrum sufferred from any of the above conditions as I do.

of course, you will find many autistic people with one of these disorders, but probably no more so than in the population at large.

Well, that's the interesting bit, Hope - there's growing evidence to suggest that auto-immune disorders are more prevalent in the autistic population than in the population at large.

Like you I doubt there's much more to it than that.

However it could well be that the genes that involved in Autism are also involved in auto-immune disorders, and so, whilst it still wouldn't be a case of 'autism=auto-immune disorder', being autistic may well make it more likely that you're also succeptable to auto-immune disorders.
