Horrible ADHD Assessment

I have recently been for an ADHD assessment and it left me traumatised. When I was diagnosed with autism, they recommended I investigate ADHD too, so I did. When reading about peoples experiences being AuDHD, everything fell into place for me. I didn't go in with the hopes of a diagnosis, I just thought "well it wouldn't surprise me". So jump to the assessment, I was made to feel like I was a time waster. I understand they have to be thorough, but it felt like an interrogation. When I asked for clarity, I was made to feel like I'd asked to cheat on a test. When I struggled to understand what was expected of me, I was made to feel like I was a liar and an idiot. I got upset and a bit standoffish in all honesty, but only in response to the way I was being spoken to. I almost gave up and walked out on the whole thing. In the end they seemed to imply that my family member hadn't filled in the informant questionnaire. I was distraught. Then I was told that I was taking up a lot of their time, and that I cry too much. When I got out I broke down.

Has anybody else had similar bad experiences, or am I being too sensitive about this?
