Advice on starting ADHD medication for my AuDHD daughter (with PDA)

My 9-year-old daughter (turning 9 soon) is AuDHD with a strong PDA profile. She’s been struggling severely at school and is showing clear signs of burnout. I believe it may be time to try ADHD medication, but my wife is less convinced.

We saw our GP about six months ago and were told we’d be contacted by the paediatrics department—but we never heard anything. Our daughter has already been diagnosed twice (privately and through the NHS) and has an EHCP in place.

My question: If we decide to pursue medication, how do we actually get the process started?

Any advice on next steps—especially with the NHS system—would be hugely appreciated.
