Apprently theres been a 98% increase in the numbers of women waiting for gynae appointments since 2022 and Wes Streeting has decided to do something about it, well so far so good, it's a shocking number.
BUT
I wonder what the outcomes will be for many women who do get to see a gynaecologist, will they still be left with grumbling tummy pain and pelvic discomfort, despite any interventions? It often feels like if you're a woman of child bearing age, then those organs are the only ones that count, I wonder how many will have things like IBS or Chronns syndrome, that never gets investigated because doctors are trained to assume its a gynae problem.
What are the treatments available for things like endometrosis?
Will the answers still be, have a baby, go on the pill or have a hystorectomy?
