Struggles with hormones during periods

Hey everyone, I am someone who has always struggled for about 2 weeks of the month on my period - I highly suspect that I have PMDD but that isn’t something you can really get diagnosed with where I am from I don’t think.

I have the coil, am on SSRIs and have tried the pill on top of the coil, but nothing seems to help. I feel like I am basically starting from square one every month with my mental health and trying desperately not to ruin all of the relationships in my life.

I know there is a high co-morbidity rate with autism and PMDD, and I wondered if anyone has any tips or tricks with how to deal with it, or any advice. Also might be nice to just know I’m not so alone in dealing with all of this!

  • Dear  ! I have PMDD, I write it in my diary so I know exactly that I need extra support on these days right before my period. It really sucks. What helps for me are long long monotone walks in the forest, 10.000 steps at least, I need to move and feel my body. I can get rest in some easy yoga poses also for like 20 minutes with stillness. I will tell my doctor about this! Very important to know I am not alone in this. Also, here in Hungary we drink a lot of cickafark=dry yarrow tea, I like this flavor! I feel you! people hugging I hear you! Best of luck!Pray tone1Relaxed
