I'm so sorry to hear about what this young person you know has been put through. I want to share some resources that may be helpful:

To get help for the young person, it is important to let the Police and local Children’s Services know about the sexual abuse she is experiencing.

Getting Help

To report a crime, serious incident or emergency that is happening now or about to happen: 

·        Call the Police on 999

To report a crime that has already happened or is not an emergency.

You can report the abuse to the young person’s local Children’s Services in the specific local authority in which they live (i.e. this might be Liverpool City Council, and you can search online for their children’s services contact details) or you can report via the NSPCC at https://www.nspcc.org.uk/keeping-children-safe/reporting-abuse/report/

Emotional Support

Sexual assault referral centres (SARCs) offer medical, practical and emotional support to anyone who has been raped, sexually assaulted or abused. You can find their local rape and sexual assault referral centre on the NHS website here https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/sexual-health-services/find-a-rape-and-sexual-assault-referral-centre/   

Rape Crisis England and Wales have a 24/7 telephone support line and online chat function for anyone aged 16+ - https://247sexualabusesupport.org.uk/ . Their website has lots of other resources and explainer guides for survivors and their supporters.

Respond is a national charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people who have experienced abuse, violence or trauma. Respond offer advice and advocacy to victims who have reported an incident of sexual violence to the police. Advice is also available to young people and adults with a learning disability, autism or both who are thinking of reporting an incident to the police but would like to know more about the criminal justice system and what happens when a report is made. Their advocacy service doesn’t operate in Merseyside but their phone line is open for advice nationwide - https://respond.org.uk/independent-sexual-violence-advocacy-isva-service/
