8 year daughter and 44 year old mum with autism

Hello

I’m new here I was diagnosed with adhd last April and waiting on an autism assessment in the next few weeks. To say my adhd diagnosis has changed my life is an understatement, I am now watching my little girl and realising I see a lot of traits in her too for both adhd and autism. I have spoken to her school and they are going to do something with her called a pupil voice and set up extra sensory breaks for her. I’m just unsure where else to go from here, I’m finding the whole thing so overwhelming, the more I read the more I make sense and my girl makes sense. I don’t really know what I’m asking here I’m just looking for support and anyone in a similar boat, what I do know is that I want my daughter to thrive, she’s so creative and funny and loving but I don’t really think she understands the whole concept really so I’m just going gently with it, we chat about it all the time and she is quite open with me.
