I used to think I was just really fussy but now it turns out I'm sensitive to a lot of different things and one of them is clothes materials. A lot of the clothes I wear I wear gritting my teeth because the material makes my skin feel really uncomfortable.

My school uniform is one of the worst but all my clothes upset me. All throughout the day I'm pulling my clothes up off my skin just to let some air get between it lololol there's method in my madnessJoyJoy 

I'm sensitive to foods as well like the textures of them and I'm sensitive to light and things touching my skin. When it rains it's unbearable the feel of it hitting and staying on my skin.

I've found some workarounds to help with this....mostly with the food. If I coat some of it with stuff like mustard and ketchup that can mask the texture... sometimes.

Seems I'm masking in every way atm lololol Joy 

I'm sensitive to sound as well. I think I've got tinnitus because I'm always hearing high pitched beeps in my ears.

  • Hey Bees, I totally relate although I'm clearly old enough to be your parent. Will school give any accommodations for clothes? I know one mum who had to go in to the school and really be firm because they weren't supporting her child and he was having meltdowns over the scratchy uniform daily. His school insist on shirt, tie, jumper and blazer at all times. 

    I wear lycra vests under scratchy clothes to help with the top half. If I wear anything other than jeans I realised I can't send regulate. I hate joggers and leggings with a passion!
