Finding Fellow Autistic Women

Hey there, 

I’m Becky, I’m 29 and on Tuesday 25th April 2023 I got my long awaited diagnosis of Autism, having suspected I was Autistic for a long time. 

I received an ADHD in 2003 just before my 9th birthday. So I’m Autistic and have ADHD. 

I’m learning to unmask the me I became to fit in to this society and be authentic to who I am. 

I am independent and have bought a house with my partner, I work in a Specialist School for Children who have EHCPS and where mainstream isn’t for them. 

Yet despite all of this I still struggle in the world. A lot of my struggles aren’t seen because they are internal. 

I’d like to meet other Autistic women who are like me, around my age too! I’ve always struggled with friendships too. 

I love Lego, Reading, TV shows (especially crime dramas), Elephants.

    I'm in my late 20s too and very early on in my journey. 

    I love Harry Potter, reading, board games, video games, red pandas, frogs and the colour blue. 

    I've recently got back into reading published books again after a few years of getting stuck re-reading Harry Potter and related fanfic but have been having a blast. A joined a couple of bookclubs which has helped expand my reading bracket. 

    What books have you been reading lately? At the moment I'm reading Project Hail Mary for one of my Book Clubs which is a SciFi book. It's pretty interesting so far.
