School uniform

Has anyone successfully been able to agree with their child's school to relax their school uniform policy?  Daughter wants to be able to wear a hoodie at school rather than the school blazer but her school seems reluctant to allow this.  Is this normal?

    Is your daughter in primary or secondary school? It's a lot easier to relax the rules at primary

    Has she explained why she would prefer a hoodie, it sounds like the blazer is an issue because of sensory stuff. If someone broke their arm and they couldn't fit it into the blazer due to the cast they would make an allowance for them, what your daughter is going through is no different. From what I can infer she doesn't have a diagnosis however if you are in the process of gaining one then school should make exceptions for her. Have you spoken to the head of SEN at her school, they might help?
