Were any other girls bullied at school? I'm not being bullied but my little sis is Year 7 and she's got Downs and a girl told me she's being bullied for it. I'm not sure what to do about it. I feel like confronting the bullies but I don't want to make it worse for Holly. I won't say to the teachers because no one does that in our school, if you grass you'll be singled out later on. So I think I need to deal with it but I don't know how.

Was any of you bullied? If you could say how you dealt with it that would be a big help.

  • Yes, I was bullied horribly- I was poor, and though I didn't know it at the time I was also very obviously both queer and autistic. Then for some reason on top of all that I decided to become a goth Sweat smile It was very difficult, especially at your sister's age.

    Unfortunately there's only so much you can do- you might be in a better position to speak with an adult than your sister is as it might not be seen as her snitching on anybody if it's not her going to them directly. Or you might be able to tell the bullies off yourself, as an older sibling. You have to be careful though as teachers often end up treating everyone the same for 'causing trouble'- I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, just that you might need to be clever about it.

    Hi thank you for your help with this. So sorry you were bullied, that must have been horrible for you. I hope you're ok now and feeling good about yourself! I'm les sexuality not that anyone knows in my life but it's good you can live as you want to. Thanks again x
