refused autistic assessments because of cognitive learning difficulties

hi all, is there any parents out there that are fighting the system to get there child assessed for autism? I have been fighting for so long now I am worried that my daughter will slip through the system.

I have had 2 paediatric appointments cancel on me before I have even got to the hospital!! first letter I received said there was not enough evidence to support her appointment, even though we had our gp send the referral with all the evidence I had. ironically that also got lost!!

the 2nd letter stated that the doctors do not think my daughter has autism and her behaviour is down to her cognitive learning difficulties. and suggested I go back to the school and ask for a early help referral, which I did. this was decided even without seeing her.

after I had personally wrote a letter to the paediatric doctor voicing my concerns I got a letter back to say they would put her on the out patients waiting list! this was back in may and I am still waiting.

so I filled in the early help from the school and received a email today saying we wont be getting it because they feel the school are doing all they can for my daughter. my daughter has a statement of special education needs and was in the nurture group for the first 2 years. now they have put her into main stream classes because the nurture group in only for year 7 and 8

well now what? school wont support me, the hospital a reluctant to see my daughter because they feel its nothing more than her learning and now I have been refused early help. what else can I do? please someone must be going through something similar
