been told daughter wont cope with busy nursery

Hi got told on Friday when I took my two year old daughter to a group for children with developmental difficulties that she wont cope with the nursery she is supposed to be going to. I explained she doesnt like crowds and was told very firmly she wouldnt cope and i should try somewhere else, This was supposed to be the best nursery in the area , my partner wants to try her there but i feel i have been totally put off and want to try somewhere else any advice would be appreciated thankyou

  • Thanks for the advice the woman who  spoke to me is the childrens centre manager so she is in charge of thenursery i asked her about others and she said as childrens centre manager she wasnt allowedto recommend any, the nursery my older two went to is fantasticly inclusive but a horrible journey so i might try her there asshe has visited it and loves it

  • Hello

Have you been to visit this nursery yourself? If not, I would make an appointment to have a look around and to have  a chat with whoever runs it, make a list of questions you have before you go.

The person that told you your daughter 'wouldn't cope' must surely be able to suggest a suitable nursery? I would visit as many as possible and go with your gut feeling.

My son is in his teens now but never coped with the nursery setting. That's just a few thoughts I have after reading your post, but others with more recent experience will hopefully be able to help you.
