Pip advice needed

I apologize if this is the wrong place but I need a little bit of advice. I've applied for pip on behalf of my 16 year old son, he's been diagnosed with autism learning disability and BSED. I was made his appointee in March. Its been nearly four weeks since I sent the claim form in and today I received a phone call from atos asking for a bit more information as they didn't want him to have to to to a centre. Does this mean they won't require him to have a face to face assessment and will I be waiting any longer for a decision.

  • It seems from what you state that if you can provide the extra information, your son will not have to go an assesment centre, which can mean either that they will just do a paper-assesment, or a home assesment. I am not sure about what is what now with the waiting period as it used to be a few months or so; when Capita were doing the PIP assesment.
