I suspect my child has autism.
She often says things that are inappropriate and tells me that what she said was fine, even when it wasn't. She doesn't fit in or get on with other children her age, and hates it when she has to leave for school at a time that isn't exactly 8:16. She also has this odd obbsesion with plants. She would just stare at a textbook about plants for hours without saying a word. Almost as if she's in another world. She can also read books and solve questions above average for her age, and is extremely good at those pattern worksheets. There's also this strange way she communicates. She often one sides a conversation and will suddenly stop talking to you mid sentence. I did test her on the Autism Spectrum Test and she scored 46 out of 50. Also her handwriting is quite messy and hard to understand. She was also given test at school where they made her read a story that got progressively harder as it continued. I wasn't even informed about this. She told me. I'm wondering, could she possibly have autism? She's 13, I'm not sure. Should I take her to a doctor?
