I support a middle aged male on the Autistic Spectrum, he has no verbal communication but uses PECs on occasion to communicate his needs. I have been experiencing some challenging behaviours which include biting. I wondered if anyone has had any experience of using protective equipment to ensure that support staff are not being injured as a result of biting.
I am aware this is not a long term solution however any advice or support would be greatly appreciated.
