what do I need to do to hurry things up?

Son, 13 struggling in mainstream even tho they have tried their best, has statement and diagnosis, over the past year we have had exclusions for behavour and it seems to be getting worse. Have had meetings with school and experts we all agree that trying to get him some specialist help by moving him to a special resource base within a senior school in the next town is the next move.

He has no real friends, is beginning to dread going to school and his health is beginning to suffer, ( stomach problems, colds and headaches ) - are we trying to do the right thing? he cannot stay where he is as depression is the next worry.

The school have done their bit, we filled in the forms together and arranged a visit to the resource centre, they in turn have assesed my son, then it was all down to the panel meeting held that same week, there were 8 places available and 11 childrens names hoping for a place, not good - the panel managed that whole meeting to talk about 2 children!! the next meeting takes place in another months time, if they manage 2 more children then it's going to take over a year to discuss these available places! in the mean time my son is in his own hell. I wonder if anyone else has gone through the same process and has any ideas how or who I could contact to "hurry" things along.

I know these things take time but I am the one who has to watch my son suffer.

Thanks.
