Advice please - behaviour

My 4 year old autistic son started school in September - a stressful time! He has settled in really well and the school has been fantastic.  However, he has recently started pulling hair - teachers and children and my own.  He doesn't do it to cause harm - he likes the feel of hair and likes to put it in his mouth (he doesn't actually eat it though).  He went through a phase of doing this at nursery but then it seemed to calm down until the last few weeks.  My little boy doesn't talk so can't communicate his needs/wants.  Does anyone have any suggestions to stop this?

Any advice/support would be much appreciated.  Thank you.
