Hi my son Luke has learning difficulties mild autisi,he is 14 years old went to mainstream whole life done well till last year,couldn't cope with school various reason eg older boy stab him on school bus plus stab pencil tips in forehead left marks,he was fine after awhile got back fulltime within 2 weeks,but then a teacher called him a wee poof a think he was just joking as others called it to,a know it's not a joke but after that he hardly went tears,most never been in troubl,he's not violent anyway but sociallay he's getting more with draw,he got a place at special needs school hates it more and wants to go back to mainstream but not school he was at defore can a move him??will they let me ??
as this is not going to work,phoned social services they are do help but they thought special need school was best bet,Luke was desperate to move out school he just agree,so did I,school lovely but he won't go what options do a have if any as I can't watch him stay upstairs all day as he knows he should be at school but avoid just at 9 till 4.
he can read write ect done national 2 most of national 3 which would be like 2/3rd year but is a forth year he is behind but was always on boarderline so got no extra help at mainstream expect some emotional suppor,but really he got none in 1year 8 months we were fightin,but was lucky to get offered special need school but not place for him either
