I am new and just wanted to start a general discussion around how other parents find mainstream education settings for people with autism, and how they have got support that is along the lines of an EHC.
Myself and my wife are starting an up hill battle trying to get the local authority to provide a Needs Assessment. We cannot face our son going to a mainstream high school......
Just wondered how other people have found the process and the like. We have an educational psychologist report that states an EHC is required, but the needs assessment has been rejected.
