Autism and adhd

Hi :) I am new to this, I have a 4 year old son who is autistic was diagnosed in Jan 2013 at one & a half very early ! i would like to know if there is many other kids who has autism and also has adhd ? I am in the process of getting my son checked for this also ! thanks LJx

    Hi

    I'm new to all this, my son now 6 has been diagnosed with Asd, Torettes, Sensory processing disorder and being tested for Adhd. 

    I'm truly struggling with his behaviour, the rudeness in how he speaks to people and the violence, especially me. I am finding it's ruining our days out with our other 2 children. He creates in new environments, cries if things don't go to his plan, gets aggressive if he doesn't win and just struggles in new situations but I truly don't know how to deal with him. His step dad tries but to no avail.

    Can anyone help, suggestions welcome?  What works for you and your little ones?

  • hi , my daughter is 29 and has asd , she is now being assessed for adhd which i'm sure she has. She finds it very hard to listen, concentrate , or relax. she is always on the go and doesn't even relax to watch tv.

  • Hi my sin is 5 he was also diagnosed early with asd and just recently adhd he is very hyper he will get up around 5 and is non stop with shouting sqweeling running about all sorts although he can be sat there and just shout randomly he is very unpredictable xx

  • hi my son is now 16,he is aspergers and has adhd,,he has the form of adhd that he isnt hyper and tunning around shouting etc in easy terms take the hyper bit out of it,he will sit for ages but needs to have his mind very occupied or else hes bored and his leg goes up and down double quick time for hours so yes it does get diagnosed together,x
