Autistic schools

we have our sons review coming up & we have been feeling of the pass couple of months that he needs to be in a school  that specialises in ASD.

Over the pass couple of months there has been a couple of things that have been ringing alarm bell 1 of which is the number of head accident forms that have come home since sept (14) & that they have suggested he contributes to the "children who witness aggression" discussion

& his raised  anxiety levels when not at school always asking when am I going back to school this has gone from just in the summer holidays to weekends he has started asking to got to hogwarts

just wondering if we can just say we want him to go to an autistic school or do we need some  evidence to back up our request

  • Your son will need an EHC plan (Education, Health, Care Plan) to get into any special school incl one that specialises in ASD. If you have one of these then great, the hard part is done, if not then you need to get the school on board, as they are the best people to refer your son for an EHC plan. I suggest you arrange a meeting with the school senco and advise he or she of your concerns for your son.
