School reporting my husband for hitting m son.

We are in a very difficult situation, the other morning, as usual, we were struggling to get our 12 year old dressed, he fights and refused to lay down so we can take his pad off to clean him and get him dressed. well this particular mornng, he was laying down and kicking off, he sat up and my husband had to placed him back to the floor to get the pad off, something that we have done many a time, just to get him back laying down. its either that or give in and he woudl never get dressed.

Anyway by this time he was in full meltdown mode, but by the time we got him to school he was calmer.

He then apparently started to cry at school and a TA asked him what was up so he typed it on the PC' my dad hit me!!!! well this has started a ball rolling and they have ' reported us to the appropriate services. I am fuming!!!!!!

We have no idea what they plan to do, I have now lost all trust in the school, they know he sometimes uses the wrong words, and have not bothered to ask my husband what exactly happened. my son is now upset that we are all goign to get into trouble, and now is refusing to go back.

Can we complain about their reaction to what was a non situation and that what he said happened , didnt? very very worried about this.

  • Im not suprised you are worried about this, I wish i could give you some advice, i think there should be somewhere you can complain too, unfortunately not many people understand what a difficult situation we as parents with Sen children face. And unfortunately Sen pupils are mor at risk of abuse ect because they do not have the same voice as neurotypical children, they cant express it, if you know what i mean.

    This doesnt help you though, schools are supposed to report stuff like this and bruises ect.

    I do think however if you get a visit from socail services, just explain and be truthful, i do think you may need to seek some proffesional advice as well to be honest.

    I wish i could be more help.
