Hi I have not been on here for quite a while however I need some advice please. My son was diagnosed with ASD at 3 yrs old since then we have dealt with a lot of challenging behaviour and sleep issues and up until recently he has been pretty good and able to overcome some of his issues. However recently he has become very cross and started hitting, pinching and throwing anything he can get hold of. At the weekend my house became a clothes heap, every item of clothing was thrown tipped out of drawers and pulled of anything if it was in reach. He punched my husband in the face and he thrashed out at me constantly when he got cross. We put him in his bedroom each time this happened but it did not seem to make a difference and he continued to thrash out most weeknd. Not sure why he is being like this he is verbal and we talk about it after his meltdown but he doesn't understand and it happens again. Any advice would be great thanks.
