Any help with pinching?

Hi, my son is 3 and has a lot of sensory needs which we are waiting for a occupational therapist to do an assessment on him however he is constantly pinching mainly for sensory issues but also when frustrated or doesn't want to do something. Does anyone have any ideas or know of any toys that could help with this problem??

thanks

  • My daughter has this issue at times too. For her, theraputty is great. It has a good texture to squeeze and pinch. One caveat is that it sticks to fabric, which can be a problem (upholstry, clothing, bedsheets have all been 'marked'). The firmer textures (blue is our favorite) are the best for avoiding this, though it still happens, especially as the putty gets older.

It is much better than playdough, for smell and general mess everywhere, though.
