New to home schooling

Hi,  my son (8) has only just been diagnosed with asperger's.  We decided to home school him before we found this diagnosis out and have just started.  We live in East Ayrshire and I was wondering if there was anyone else out there in East Ayrshire who would be interested in meeting up? Or if there is any advice folks could give me on home schooling an autistic child.  Thanks!

    Just a quick post to let you know I have not heard back anymore from the local branch and have now contacted East Ayrshire Council directly with a cheecky request to see if they would consider holding a training event for parents as I have noticed through desperatly looking for advice and support that some councils offer more support than others. So i went with the theory of if you dont ask you dont get! lol!
